Wabi-sabi is an ancient Japanese philosophy that finds beauty in things imperfect, impermanent and incomplete. Like existence, we believe beauty is a dynamic event that occurs between you and something else.
Everything here starts with a squishy brain producing an invisible thought that pumps blood to move physical hands that use manual techniques to create a useful object. We believe the imperfect stirs the heart more than polished perfection ever could.
With all that woowoo in mind, we strive to create funky-fresh-functional ceramic wares deeply personal and accessible to everyday people.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER
After 15 years of designing stuff, from spine implants to coolers for billion dollar brands, an older young woman woke up one day and thought "If I am going to work this hard to be a thousandaire, I want that effort to be about sharing, not shareholders." She quit her dedication to a steady paycheck and SOWASA was born.
